On My Own!

I have being waiting all these 20
years for this time to come


I have waited for it too long
And now its here today
A day I have always wanted in my life.

This was because I am tired of being told
what to do and when to do it
tired of being blamed for the faults
and wrong doings of others

Now that I am a grown up man today,
I am going to do things my way
All on my own

I wouldn't have to be playing hide and seek
like I used to when I was yet a boy
But I would try to do all the best in everything
because my life is in my own hands.

Today, I am the captain of my ship
the sole ruler of my kingdom.
I am now a grown up man today
I would do things as one.

On my own in this world so big,
so tough,
and so full of obstacles

I am on my own to face life and to maintain it.

I have learnt a lot to believe in myself every now and then.
I have also leant what its means to live all On my Own.

I will always be grateful to you who have help me
to this stage of this journey of my life.
Every bit of your support was and would always be appreciated

now half way into that journey, to face the rest.
With my Creator by my side,
I am sure to face the future with pride,
with hope and determination to do the best as I can.
All of which would be done by me.

On My Own!

I am the boss of my own
the builder of my very future.
A future that is built on strong foundation...

Others have done it,
you have done it too
likewise, I too would do it!
